New Module : Climate Change

Hello,

an exciting new module has been released today, "Climate Change".

This module is designed to show historical monthly and annual trends in climatic parameters (rain, temperature, evaportaion etc).

It allows searches to be done on the dataset starting in 1955. Thats 52 years worth of climatic data, which we can derive statistics from, including a linear trend, median, and running average. Is an area getting warmer in summer ? More rainfall in spring? You can quickly see the trend using this new module.

Have fun with the new module, it will reveal some interesting facts about your area of interest im sure.

November Nufarm Report

Nufarm report has been uploaded to Agreview for november, accessible to Nufarm only.

Other minor tweaks have occured to the site in readiness for a new module "Monthly Climate Views". Which displays climate data over a monthly time period.

Latest Update

30th October some refinements have been made, hopefully resulting in greater speed and consistency. Basically it involved redesigning the ajax communications, overall reducing the amount of redundant data sent back and forth.

Animations were enabled for cliamte history and track n trace, although these can take a while to generate due to processing 36 decades. Not much can be done to increase speed yet, as its just a lot of data to combine.

Some other updates were made to style, and form of various things.

So test the system, submit any bugs via site feedback if you spot them, and we will continue to develop new functionality.

Rowan.

AgreView Updated 14 September

Agreview was updated today to update changes made to the Viewer, charting engine, gridded images and animations.

The viewer has been recoded slightly to remove some bugs and make it faster, and also change the zooming technique (left click for 2x zoom, or drag for box zoom. Right click to zoom out 3x).

The chart has been altered to split the charting of parameters so that these make more logical sense, and so that the axis are not an invalid range.

The gridded images and animations are still in heavy development and need some bug fixing, but hopefully it will demo the possibilities of what we are working towards.

While the site still has some bugs, it is getting much quicker and more user friendly every release, which is really promising.
